David Solomon -  Doc Dré

After working as an automotive technician for thirty-seven years and being involved in many aspects of the auto repair industry, David Solomon is known as one of the most respected automotive technical authorities. He’s been certified nine times by the National Institute of Automobile Service Excellence (ASE) as a Master Automobile, and also holds certifications as a Master Heavy Duty Truck, Master Paint & Auto Body, and Advanced Engine Performance Technician. Known by his nickname, Dré, Solomon holds a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology. He was been inducted as a member by the Society of Automotive Engineers and belongs to the North Atlantic Council of Automotive Instructors. And for all of his accomplishments, Solomon’s name is listed as a World Class Automobile Technician in the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn Detroit.  Dré is a contributing editor for numerous periodicals including Trailer Life, First For Women, Import Service, Emissions Monthly, and several of the Boardroom publications. He authored The Automotive Survival Guide, chapters in Beat the System by Rodale Press, Hints and Tips to Make Life Easier by Readers Digest, a book on Bosch Fuel Injection, and has been publisher of the MotorWatch Newsletter since 1988.
Since 1986, he as conducted training in high-tech automotive computer diagnostics and data analysis all over America, while he began building the world’s first automotive database of known problems with vehicles. Since 1988, he has been continued to build the database and use this info technology to help both consumers and technicians find answers for hard-to-identify car problems during on his weekly live call-in radio show. The gathered data is also published in the MotorWatch Newzletter.
